Aims

To offer anyone a free copy of a complete fantasy RPG.
To translate all elements of play from text to images.
To make available a free collection of high quality fantasy graphics and icons that places Treasure’s artwork in the hands of players.
To let anyone edit, mix, remix or customise any part of the game and the graphics.
To use easily editable formats, including html and vector graphics, which can be styled and edited using free software.
To employ Creative Commons licensing to ensure that the core ‘rules’ and images remain freely available.
To put in place licensing options that allow independent RPG publishers to design and distribute settings, scenarios and accessories based on Treasure.
To provide a team game that encourages co-operation and frequent participation during play.
To set out a clear route from a boardgame style of play to the ‘freeform’ approach used in many RPGs.
To present straightforward ‘rules’, which develop and reward collaborative decision making, critical thinking and character development during play.
To prepare ‘ready-to-run’ and ‘quick start’ resources which make the game accessible to a wide range of age groups and styles of play.
To promote RPGs as a whole by making Treasure available to players, schools and libraries that cannot afford to purchase multiple copies of other rule sets.
To distribute RPG advocacy resources.
